About

Dr. Cynthia Manguba, PsyD

Founder & Licensed Clinical Psychologist · she/her

Dr. Cynthia Manguba, PsyD is a Filipina-American clinical psychologist. She brings nearly twenty years of experience in the mental health field, including more than a decade as a licensed clinical psychologist, helping people find their way back to themselves. She works from a simple belief: healing happens within a relationship where you feel genuinely seen.

Her approach is unhurried and deeply personal. Rather than applying one method to every person, she draws on psychodynamic, attachment, and client-centered work to build something that fits you—the way you think, the way you connect, and the ways you've learned to protect yourself.

She has a particular interest in culture and identity and has experience working with Filipino, Filipina-American, and Asian-American clients, entertainment-industry professionals, and individuals navigating medical concerns. She is especially passionate about working with adolescents and young adults navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, attachment concerns, identity development, and loss or grief.

As your therapist, Dr. Manguba offers a safe, supportive, and compassionate space, often with a touch of humor. Together, you'll explore how your past shapes your present, uncover unhelpful patterns, and build awareness and practical tools for meaningful, lasting change. Her approach is collaborative and empowering, helping you move toward greater fulfillment, resilience, and well-being.

Dr. Manguba named her practice Flourish Psychology Services to reflect her belief that individuals can heal, grow, and thrive—even through life's most challenging seasons. The name also carries a personal connection to her father, Florencio “Flor,” whose name inspired the beginning of Flourish. His influence helped shape her appreciation for communication, emotional expression, and supporting others through challenging times—values that continue to guide her work today.

Outside of her work, Dr. Manguba enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, trying new foods, hiking, and exploring different cultures.
