Emma Crissman, LMFT

Emma Crissman, LMFT is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist who believes the work begins the moment a client feels safe. She centers the therapeutic relationship first, then builds from there.

As a biracial Filipina-American, Emma brings a lived understanding of identity and belonging to her work. She has a particular interest in developmental trauma and the ways it can quietly shape self-worth, mood, relationships, and how we navigate school, work, relationships, and everyday life.

As your therapist, Emma takes a collaborative, non-judgmental, and experiential approach to psychotherapy. She integrates mindfulness, emotional regulation skills, and a family-systems perspective to help clients better understand themselves, their emotions, and the relationships that have shaped them.

Together, you will explore familial values, roles, beliefs, and attachment patterns while developing greater awareness of your emotions, body, and relationships. Through safety and connection, Emma helps clients build greater tolerance for life's experiences, develop a more secure foundation within themselves, and engage more fully with life.

Emma's clinical interests include depression, anxiety, PTSD, and developmental trauma. She works with adolescents, adults, couples, and families.

Emma believes that meaningful growth begins with feeling safe, understood, and supported. Her hope is that through the therapeutic relationship, clients can develop greater trust in themselves and move toward a more grounded and fulfilling life.
