Understanding each other again, starting from where you are.

The connection was easy once. Now there's a gap you can't quite name, more silence than you'd like, more friction over things that shouldn't matter, more time spent guessing what the other person is really thinking.

Most relationship struggles aren't about not loving each other. They're about patterns that built up quietly over time. Those patterns can be understood, and slowly, they can change. This is a place to start.

What relationship struggles actually look like

The same argument on repeat, dressed up in different clothes. Feeling unseen by someone standing right next to you. Walking on eggshells, or bracing for the next disappointment.

It isn't only romantic partners. Strained friendships, family tension, a pattern that keeps showing up across relationships, these all carry real weight. Often it's the cycle underneath, how you each protect, withdraw, or push, that keeps the distance in place. Seeing that cycle clearly is often what makes something new possible.

We're not here to decide who's right or wrong. We look at the pattern the two of you fall into, and what's driving it underneath.

How the work happens

We're not here to decide who's right or wrong. We look at the pattern the two of you fall into, and what's driving it underneath.

We pay attention to what each person brings, the old expectations, the ways you learned to protect yourself, the needs that go unspoken, so the dynamic becomes something you can work with rather than get stuck in.

This is thoughtful work, whether you come on your own or together. Understanding the pattern is often what lets you step out of it, and find your way back toward each other.

What the work looks like together

01

We name the pattern you're caught in

The first sessions are about the real shape of what's happening between you, with room to understand it rather than judge it.

02

We look at what's underneath

Together we explore what each of you is protecting or needing beneath the conflict, so the friction starts to make sense.

03

You try new ways of relating

We make space to practice different responses, in how you speak, listen, and repair, so old cycles have room to shift.

04

You find more ease with each other

The hope of the work isn't a conflict-free relationship. It's connection that feels steadier, and a way back when things get hard.

This may be for you if…

  • You keep having the same argument and want to understand it
  • You feel more distance than you'd like with someone who matters
  • You notice a pattern showing up across your relationships
  • You want support whether you come alone or together

A different kind of support may fit better if…

  • ·You're in immediate crisis or danger, please see our crisis resources for right-now support
  • ·You're looking strictly for medication management (a psychiatrist prescribes; our clinicians coordinate care but don't prescribe)
Questions people ask

Good things to know

Can I come on my own, or do we both have to be there?

Either works. Relationship patterns can shift meaningfully even when only one person is doing the work. If it makes sense to include your partner or others, we'll talk about that together.

Is this the same as couples therapy?

There's overlap. We work with relationship dynamics whether you come individually or as a pair, and we'll find the format that fits your situation.

What if we're not sure the relationship should continue?

That's a valid place to start. The work isn't about forcing an outcome, it's about understanding what's happening so you can make clearer choices, together or apart.

Can we work together if I'm outside Los Angeles?

Yes. Our clinicians see clients via secure telehealth across California, you only need to be in the state.
